She opened his stall door and unhooked the lead rope. Then she walked into the tack room where Helen was cleaning her jumping saddle. “Do you want to go for a trail ride…bareback? I’m going to take Beauty on one.” Susan asked her friend, grinning. “Sure! I’ll ride Image!” Helen replied happily. They got their horses and groomed them very well. “She’s gorgeous.” Susan said as she looked at Image. The mare was sleek and glossy. “Yeah, she’s great and I bought her for Jess…but she became mine.” Helen said, strapping on her helmet. They slipped the english bridles on their horses and headed outside. The vaulted up and gathered the reins. “What trail do you want to take?” Susan asked. “What about heading to the beach alongside the river?” Helen said. “Perfect!” Susan replied. They squeezed and sat to their QHs smooth walk. The trail was wide and canopy of trees shaded them from the intense morning sun. Susan rode Beauty on a loose contact and sat relaxed.
