Subject: The sound makes Nadia take out her sling in terror, and she aimed, looking around, but was unable to see the source of the sound. She put her sling back on the belt and tried to calm her wild heart. "Well, I must be getting close," she thought to herself. "Now where did that sound come from? Where there's a sound, there's got to be a dragon." She looked around and saw a path that seemed to lead downward. With her heart still racing, Nadia ventured there, still with her hand at her sling, ready to pull it out any second.

  • She hears the noise again, loud and harsh. Again, it is distorted by the echoes. However, Nadia notices that it seems to be a little clearer sounding down the tunnel that opens up to the right.
