Author: Erimani Soran
Subject: Erimani paces the cavern's edge for a moment, scanning the tunnels with careful scrutiny. "The domain of the dragons is certain to be found near the center of the volcanoes, yet they must have access to the surface..." Erimani muses. She stoops, collecting several round stones from the cavern floor.
In reply to: Fate 's message, "A tunnel opens wide before her. The lamp that Erim holds illuminates enough of it for her to see that it has a high ceiling and rough walls. The tunnel ends abruptly after a short ways, opening into a small cave. Several other tunnels lead off of the cave." on 11:54:55 01/25/03 Sat

Hefting one of them speculatively, she sets her staff within easy reach and turns to the entrance of the second tunnel. "This shaft looks as though it could satisfy even a dragon's form, as long as it does not narrow suddenly further on." The elf thrusts the lamp forward into the darkness, scattering the shadows of the tunnel with its glow. "The floor is curiously smooth here, as if it has been worn by the frequent passage of an immense creature...there remains just one more condition, for I cannot charge blindly into the labyrinth, but I suspect..." Erimani tosses one of the stones low to the ground and nods in satisfaction as it begins to roll down the slope. "Yes. This passage should serve my purpose." Erim silently retrieves her staff and resumes her journey into the depths. "May my hopes be realized in success," Erim murmurs, quelling a rising nervousness. "I must be ready–there is no turning back."
