to the guys who just had their commissioning, congratulation! couldn't attend the ceremony last minute cos of some stupid proj mate who didnt do his part so we had to do cover that. In the end he didnt even come for the presentation....

still haf a few wks to go b4 the nus exams....work hard gals/guys!
ntu gals...take it as more time to study... i will rather be in ur shoes, reallie! after tt we will train together for sdbf and go for those after-trainings dinners together again!

hmmmm miss those times.....

i've been confined at home for a whole week.. can't go out because of the sars thing. also because my parents not around, so got to stay and look after the house and my pesky younger brother! but also grateful that he is around, if not i'll be all alone at home scrubing the floors and plates. he helped to share the load and provide good company at times.. heh ;)

anyway, i'm currently looking more like a haggard housewife from all the cleaning at home la~ messy hair, sticky t-shirts and greasy face.. major turn off rite? heh, but from this experience, i really learn to appreciate my mom's presence.. cooking a decent meal is tough~ but you all know wat? i'm improving! haha.. at least the vegies that i cook now are edible and less raw! hehehe

oh, i've been watching loads of tv too. anyone needs to know of tv listing schedule, can always call me for the time.. just in cast you can't find the paper or tv listings on that one fateful day! haha..

for gals: good luck, all the best and study smart!:) jia you!!!

nobody reali around here nowadaes.. everyone too busy? anyway.. decided to post a msg...

things are pretty depressing recently.. as some of you know, my dad passed away last week 21/3.. it was quite a difficult time for my family but i guess we're ok now.. my mom's doing alot better.. and i think im ok too... had alot of help and support from relatives and friends.. thanx to some of you who visited or sent your condolences thru icq or sms or whatever.. it was reali appreciated..

this sars thing.. scary sia... now when im in sch and somebody sneezes or coughs i get damn paranoid lah... everybody take care ok? drink lotsa water and stay healthy

then the war thing also.. here we're trying to keep people alive, and there they are trying to kill each other.. ironic the things thats happening in a supposed modern 21st century world..

lastly.. exams. need i say more? hai...

ah well.. guess thats life for ya.. do drop a line or two here yah...

decided to do abit of my usual bit of complaining here heh..

i am VERY tired!!!... this is our holiday week but this is probably my most packed week of the year so far!!.. today is thurs.. and i've been in the sun EVERYDAY since LAST tues.. and you all know the weather nowadaes rite... 10-3pm the sun is merciless and BLAZING hot.. and thats the time my trgs are scheduled!.. sigh... damn chaota now.. most of us peeling like shit too heh...

still got assignment due on monday... its 30% of my whole final grade... and i still dun reali know what im doing.. heh.. tts owing to all my lack of reading.. ooPs... :P anyway its march already!.. o and a level results coming out soon.. so exciting.. heh.. wonder how our juniors did...

I still think your course, though stressful, is really unique and pretty fun. You're the master of your own design! How cool is that. Just go for what you want...at least in doing so, you know you'll enjoy it more than endure it.

yup yup....dun be so stressed up...me very busy too...sometimes feel like i'm going to explode anytime ..got so many readings haven't completed yet....i think you all know that time i almost quit NTU canoeing rite...sigh...couldn't quit so i got to reorganize my time a bit loh and learn how to take things easy....so tho i'm tired....i'm still ok juz a bit short tempered...haha....anyway...me is sick liao coz that day went down sdba took out all the boats and the rain got heavier!so with the cold wind and heavy rain....moi is down with flu and sore throat...

heyhey weiying... dun be so stressed out.. actually this goes out to all the girls stressing ourselves out in 2nd sem in uni lah....seriously...

oklah i know im not in the position to say much since my fac got no midterms and projects and what not, but really.. sometimes you juz gotta keep cool and allocate some time to yourself to DEstress and do what YOU want to do...

juz like last fri, somehow all my plans and meetings cocked up last minute lah.. then i got super pissed wif my law frens.. then the memo that we had to do was due on monday..everything was freaking screwed up lah..then things from wakeboard and canoe polo and sports camp started to clash.. wah.. wanted to scream sia.. SO many things to do and dinnoe where to start

so you know what i did??

i called up xueying and some of the wakeboard girls, then we went to watch a movie instead.. heh... had a good time lah.. forgot completely abt work... only later at night i sat down and like reprioritised everything lah.. when my head was straight and more focussed...

basically im juz saying tt sometimes when things are juz too tough to handle, juz gotta step back and look at the bigger picture.. then you'll realise its not that bad reali :)

next week is recess week... which actually just means theres more work to do.. but must perservere ok!!.. we're only first years!!... next year is going to be even worse...BUT.. one thing i know is that njcanoeists never quit.. so dont even think abt quitting! i know we'll all get through somehow.. :)

To lawrence: Ermmm would like to take part in the biathalon but ever since i joined C3, i've learned to use my mind more and not my body....so not really up to std lah huh? maybe i'll think thru e biathalon wif you? haha....like in Hero. Plus i can't swim for nuts...freestyle that is...

To my dear weiying: Dun worry abt the photo...i'll get over it some day...Putting it up on the net is a gd idea though..
Anyway did you know that guys do and practically have the same qualities that you mentioned?? think abt it...

first of all my roommate is reallie nice, our level of acceptance for untidiness is abt the same, generally think she has been quite accomodating...
2ndly i think our room is reallie nice
geri n her ex roomie covered the tiled floor with a layer of paper (i forgot what it's called, it's smthing like wallpaper, juz tt it's meant for the floor) so it makes walking comfortable n cleaning easy!
3rdly she juz bought a fridge....so i get to share the fridge w her...but den to put a fridge in the room u got to pay a cost, so i shared the cost w her also
having a fridge is soooo convenient...can haf chilled drinks, ice cream, solid choc anytime...no need to walk down to the kitchenette or share the smelly n not really cold common refridgerator
maybe i shld take some pix of our room for u all to see

the room is going to be used as a showroom for a eusoff dbl room during open hse in march cos they think tt it's the nicest dbl rm in the hall...heh so flattering!

Eh Fletcher, so what is the reason behind the fact that a DA fighter cannot get SOH? Why not? Even if that's the case, it will not hurt at all to do well. It might even pay more to do well and be the best. In the SAF, you have your curriculum vitae as officer/spec/trainee. Its a dossier of all reports. rankings and appraisals written by your instructors. With no SOH, they will come to recognise your grades and appraisals even more. Always keep in mind that merit pays, can't escape it. Can't rebel against the system, so make it work for you. Either that or be a civilian :D Did they offer you any scholarship

i'm so glad tht i survived it without losing weight..haha..
power rite..cos i stuffed myself with food after starving myelf for 8 days..
now i cant control myself leh...my mouth gets itchy easily..
i tink i going to grow fat leh..
aniway brunei not tht bad lar..except there got a new kind of mosquito called e blood suckers..they look like flies..but they suck ur blood..n e thing they use to suck blood is quite thick..so its quite gross...whenever i see one sucking me ar...i panic...
so gals! dun backpack in thailand...go sumwhere no mosquitoes one...otherwise u'll regret..cos my hands now full of bites..argh!!

Know wat? I just found out yesterday that i'm not supposed to get sword of honour or any of the awards. Screwed up RSAF. Just because i'm fighter in ADA course then cannot get? crapshit! And they won't even give me the ADA brevet! bastards! Yet they still want me to go thru the whole bloody course and pass every shit and chuck me aside when the benefits comes... Now every week have so many tests and gotta stay up damn late... weekend also not spared. And NO SWORD OF HONOUR???????? AAAAARRRRGGGHH!! And my ADA frens told me that if i happen to get the top, they'll moderate the marks till i dun get it and some ADA guy gets it... haizzzzzzzz..... screwed up... So uni is even betta than SAF rite? haiiiiiii... im stuck at home... usually i'll be happy abt it coz it means i dont hafta go to sch, but not this time!! coz i cant do ANYTHING for at least a week!

was on my way home after canoe polo trg yesterdae then i fell.. i missed a step at SRC there.. the steps was those gravel kind.. then the edge is damn sharp lah.. so anyway it was pretty dark and i fell then my right knee gashed into the sharp edge pretty deep.. and it was damn gross.. heh...can see the flesh.. then the blood gushing out.. yuck
okok.. will spare you guys the details heh

meijie's mom, mj, xy and wyg sent me to the clinic at clementi there lah.. had to get 6 stitches.. wah.. that was HELL man.. freaking painful lar...reali traumatic experience.. and im going to haf a damn ugly scar there lar.. sad sad....

anyway thanx gals for sticking around.. i reali wdve died-ed if yall werent there.. and sorry for having to watch me tear uncontrollably.. hehe

haiiii.. im pretty sad i cant train for at least 2 weeks... so disappointed... and i was all geared up it!! hai... now i just hope that i wont become a slob at home since i cant reali walk much.. and the only thing i can do is eat and watch tv.. hehe

and tt's y we all didn't haf to go back the next day

so lawrence haf anybody told u the story of our regatta this yr? hai.... it was actually such a gd season but but but.... hai all i can say is tt those races were gd races and i'm reallie proud of all who took part... everybody agree rite? we put in so much effort to train
i felt very gd after each race but it juz always haf to become disappointment when i go to the scoreboard

regatta aside,
had fun at tecknam's place today...think his hse is cosy and welcoming... the mahjong and twisted daidi was fun too! it was 'heartwarmin'(in meijie's words) to see all again...

results mah....think i'm getting my results tmr

Wah lau, last week daniel, shien and me ran the marathon. I thought I going for half. Then went there in the morning I found out they running full marathon. Kao, shag man, last 10k was like walkathon but fun lah. A lot of old men and fat ladies beat me also. That ben didn't go, tua me last minute.

Hey hi everybody...Just dropping by to say hi. Leaving for Brunei on friday, 13th dec.Will only be back on the 23rd.Hai....damn sianz...But think it's quite fun too...living in the jungle and all...Anyway this means that this weekend is my last one before christmas. Wenshun, jon, weiye,kai-honn,xinjie,douglas all in taiwan having fun now. Think edwin's also in brunei. Gues all of us are going overseas either for vacation or training.... Anyway sad to say i can't go for teck nam's housewarming..once again...hai...how come you all always set dates that i cannot make it?? the last time i also cldn't go for the gathering at yihao's place....

calling for all enthusiasts or retirees of dragonboating.... the annual river regatta is here again!
Here is some info bout the trainings,which will kick off this wed 27/11
Days: Mon, Wed, Sun before the races
TIme: 2-4pm
Venue: SDBA
NO need for u all to be strong or watever...juz come down n haf fun, den prob we can all go and haf fun together after traings also...

If unfortunately u all can't make it to the trainings, u still can come and row on the comp days itselves. Eh but no guatantee lah, cos of coz priority will be given to those who train. But no matter wat, if u want to row, juz give me a ring or sms!

IF u dun want or can't row, u still can come n haf fun with us at boat quay during the races.
The dates are 14/12 and 15/12, it's a weekend. Hopefully and especially the NS guys who can make it will come. Long time no see! Gals also...Those can come muz come k? then we can take alot of nice nice pix together haha...i'm getting a digicam and i guess it makes sharing photos much more easier!

after a coupla days of not coming here coz of YOU-kNOW-WHO (whom i am still pisSED wif for saying untrue things abt me and my weighT.. grrrrr)... i realised i missed reading stuff that you peeps wrote lah.. and i feel tt since its after exams.. i shd contribute oso...

anyway
my exams ended on thurs.. and bright and early the next morning i was on a ferry to Sebana Cove (near Desaru in johore) liao.. heh.. went wif a few of my wakeboard team ppl.. and went to ride there for the whole day.. the water damn shiok.. its so still.. and so clean... its like heaven compared to kallang water!.. anyway.. its damn cheap there lah.. $48 sing for whole day.. whereas in Spore $48 will last you max 2 hours!

so it was a pretty gd trip.. then stayed over at the villa there... very cool... every 4 house units has a pool enclosed... very nicE!.. and of coz stayed up to play mahjong (and yes.. i won money :P)... heh..

anyway.. tmr is the 22k race thingie.. me and a coupla girls shd be going down to support the nj team.. i havent seen them for ageS man!.. and oso del and xiuwen rowing lah.. lookin forward to tmr...

What i mean by split into different generations is that every batch will have its own page/section. Ours can be frivolous, naive and cheesy if we want to. But maybe our juniors have something of their own for their own section.

A few suggestions about the site: First, you can keep the site as a personal site for Njcanoeists 00/01 and thats it, nothing else, all the content you put in it is entirely yours. Secondly, you hand the webmaster duties to the next junior batch and the website is split into diff generations.

Of course, since we started it, we advertise ourselves. But we have to hand it over somehow I feel. There's no such thing as cheesy or not, just whether the site reflects what really happened or what is happening.

just had a long weekend went to philadelhpia AKA UPenn.. visited some frens.. my boss commissioner of police was there so i managed to grab a bite with him... its damm cold here.. ok la not that cold abt 5 C.. n I AM TRAINING WATER IN SINGLET N SHORTS!
cannot make it.. THe bloody UPS sent my long sleeve winter shirt to the other side of the country!!

but i think i can guess wat weiying was going to say but did not say.. well honestly i think that the website is wonderful.. yeah they don;t give any credit to us or ani other batches...its a very self orientated in a way kinda ego-centric boast ego page.. but we cannot blame team.. think it is real nice though.. but still far in comparisons to the HC one.. well.. i think they do deserve a nice page like that .. It may sound kinda sad to u all.. but i guess.. things are over.. we are who we are.. but we were who we were and thats that.. we are living our own lives now.. i think it took me one of the longest if not the longest to realise this... i dunnoe.. i dun feel that empty hole animore.. even felt it when i was here in the US.. i have finally learnt to turn my back on it.. it was hard.. but i am glad i did it.. so in that respect i have no right to say anithing or demand or even request that they include more of us or in that matter ani of the past batches in the page.. after all wat contributions did we make.. as in realli make.. if anione can make ani demands on changes on the webpage .. it would that MR TAN deserves to have a whole section on him.. coz if not for the work n the sweat that he put into the club.. singlehandedly turning it arnd so many yrs ago. there would be no more canoeing club as champions.. neither would there be a mr yong.. so.. thats all u n i can ask.. i think is realli nice of them to have this webpage.. noe that mr yong will be very vyer glad to see himself all over it!! ahhaa... so if u guys could.. todae i juz had a presentation to do for one of my subjects.. its like 80% of my whole sem lah coz the subject is non-examinable.. its very formal lah.. hafta wear formal attire and stuff.. and i screwed it up!!!!..
it was a group presentation, but we would be marked according to how well we individually present.. so if there was a question posed to you, and you cdnt answer, its your own pasal lah.. wah kao.. my tutor brought in this lawyer who was counsel for the IDA v. Singtel case and she was SO damn scary can??? she ask qns like hell.. and my group was thrown off..
in the end our structure was like shit lah.. and when she asked me some qn, i was like going round and round.. and not giving exact answer.. wahhhhh damn bad damn bad.. dunno how liao.. and coz of this research project, i havent been studying for the rest of the examinable subjects that is like coming in 2 weeks!

the last time i posted a msg which was like 3 days ago, i was fine.. todae.. im SICK!.. haiz... food poisoning... muz be the bbq stingray i ate on wed nite!!>. damn shit man.. was sitting infront of the toilet bowl for at least 45 mins at 5am in the morning puking all the stuff out.. disgusting experience.. YUCK... i think i looked damn poor thing.. heh...then got headache and fever oso... aiyohhh....i din go to sch yesterdae and todae.. damn damn slack.. and feel damn damn sick..

the worst part is that on thurs morning when i wanted to go see doctor, my family doctor was overseas, so i went to a clinic near coronation plaza instead.. AND.. after i took the medication, my eyes became puffY!.. like when i eat raw salmon liddat.. i was allergic to the damn medication lor!! damn suay rite... haiz...

before tt, i was awake for 3 days with roughly abt 1.5h of sleep? if i add up the mins i spent resting my head on the table...
this is all because of this proj...which took us the last 3 wks preparing, and we all thought yest was the last day we are going to touch our prototypes...we were all so happy when we each finished our presentations...but we didn't know wat to come was going to be our worst nightmare

our teacher announced tt for the next week, we are to polish up on our prototypes because they show so much potential

imagine our expressions tt instant? it was a kodak moment...

am i complaining too much on my studio work? sadly, tt's my life now.... sigh

Hey guys its me greg here.. well i am very tired .. just wanted to
share with u wat happened so far this weekend. First i slept realli
late on frui nite.. at about 3.30?
then i woke up at 630 to get to the boat house by 7 to train.. it
was cold and rainning.. damm miserable!!
but i had a pretty good training.. then after that i went down to
the man river for the Dragon boat festival.. the 21st of september
has been official dated as the MAF in pittsbuirgh so there were alot
of chinese stalls there serving good authentic food!!
i ate for free!! thats coz i trained with n kinda helped out with
the festival and was even the dragon boat coach for everyteam in
pittsburgh!! i even paddled in 2 events winning 1st for 1 and 2nd
for the other.. the one that we won first.. m y training partner(the
other dragon boat coach) and 1 were the stroke pair or pacers.. and
we lead the team to beat their town arch-rivals..
they were damm happy n now i have got a gold medal from pittburgh,..
pretty exciting weekend dun u think?? oh i came back to my apartment
at about 430 -5??
and all this amidst the fact that i have got mid semster tests next
week n followinweek .. one on mon!! haha .. they account for about
30% of the final gradE... die..

OOPPS>> ITS 1141 HERE.. JUst came back to my room was in the courtyard of my place.. playing n disturbing the angmo freshman..
haha my room mates n i stole a lot of stuff from this appartment of 4 girls n we disturb them everynite..
haha was just carrying one of them on my shoulder spining her around n expainnin to the other how to aim and hit my roommates groin with a drink bottle...
well slacking alot here.. even though i have got a series of test over next week n 1 more the following week( 3 tests altogether .. alot man! each 50 mins long!!) yeah having fun.. just started land training with the kayaking guy... MISS U ALL .. WANT TO SPEND XMAS with u all but can't coz i won't be flying back this winter...yeah go drink more water n take vit C>. get well soon WEIYING N XIUWEN!! haha i see ry n fenny are having a gd time.. rock on! eheh..
okok better get back to my work.. hey Keith.. will send u some photos of the hot chicks here ..

cos firstly, i got an S for my engine module mid term quiz, it does not stand for super, but satisfactory...i'm still very happy lah, cos i'm easily contented...haha

2ndly, cos i went to NTU to celebrate my fren's bday and i made her very happy! yay...and i juz reached home lah...the time is 1am now

and i just got a resolution to start studying. yeah, cos i realised tt i haven't been studying and i gotta buck up man... but tt doesn't mean i can't haf fun lah

yoo hoo! i'm at home now, doing nothing except typing this thing in.. hehe.. no school today!! actually nothing much to envy about, cos i'll have a damn long day tom as a result.. but nvm, it's better than nothing, so i'm not gonig to complain :)

hey ruo, your life sounds damn good.. last week of school, meaning tat you r having your hols now... good for you! have fun!!! :)

anyway, sch has been ok.. nothing exciting.. going to sch means to go there and have lesson from 2 to 5, full stop. (on thur n fri, 2 to 4) no things called cca. 'events' would mean seminars.. tat's y i'm calling it a corporate sch.. but it's ok.. better than rotting away at home, at least my brain is being used there, better than nothing :)

talking about meeting up� i really haven't meet lotsa of you all.. hey, if you all r around town from mon to fri, esp fri, buzz me.. maybe we can meet up! :)

hai.. wanted the hols to go by SLOWLY but instead it went past so quickly!.. tmr sch's startinG!.. and as usual im doing last minute homework to hand in tmr.. sigh sigh sigh..

had a pretty fun week tho.. althought alot of the time i was slacking lah.. but slacking's always fun isnt it? heh

anyway if any of you interested in going for a party on 28th Sept (sat) at sentosa, please tell me!.. my classmate sofie having a party a mahalo beach 9pm-3am.. got foam party too.. so shd be pretty fun.. its $16 excluding sentosa entrance fee..and theres freeflow 10-12am lah.. so its quite worth it..

then i was thinking mebbe that day even if you all dun wan to go for the party, we can haf a sentosa outing in the day?? juz a suggestion.. tell me if interested ok?

oklah... shd go back to my homework..

miss the team lots.. esp those i dun see often.. the ppl in army and oso those overseas (and also those in PLANET ntu!!.. haha)

N THE WATER IS FLAT!!!!
