Does the singing represent the bearing of one's soul? I just think back to OMWF where the gang sings their innermost feelings and in Angel, where he needs to sing karaoke so that Lorne can either read his soul or of things to come. Interestingly enough, we never see Willow sing, so who knows what she's thinking.
