I keep almost writing this post, but it's so not finished. And I can't find my stupid Offspring tape. I bet I taped over it. ***cries***

This thought comes more from my work with the possible crossovers -- which [for me] uncovered some surprising parallels between the episodes of BtVS and AtS -- but anyway, in Ep 7 of AtS, Sahjhan first appeared; and in Ep 7 of BtVS, Xander *summoned* Sweet.

Sahjhan played a much bigger role on AtS than Sweet [apparently] did on BtVS, but then again, Sweet was dressed in all red (a Nyarlathotep description?), said he had a hundred names (might "Dracula" have been one of them--bat, mind control, xander licking hands?), and was actually summoned by Xander. AND Sweet said he'd see them all in hell, after which we all watched in horror as S6 grew chaotic.

My problem with this (Sweet being Nyarlathotep) is that if Sweet were Nyarlathotep, it would mean that he was summoned to Sunnydale right when one of his "agents", Sahjhan, arrived in LA to take out Connor. I suppose that shouldn't have to matter, but on the other hand, I can't imagine that Sahjhan wouldn't know about one of "his" Powers wreaking havoc just a hundred odd miles away. AARGH!

Plus, I know there were explosions in OMWF, sort of, but what about in Offspring? I *think* there might have been. :-( Can anyone help me here?

(Even if there weren't actual explosions, or this isn't the crossover, I still think it's interesting that each of these demons sort of change the course of the seasons on both BtVS and AtS.)

Oh anyway! Sweet said he let Xander out of "that" clause [of a contract?] -- the part to be Sweet's queen -- but doesn't that imply that there are other parts that Xander's not let out of?

Point: what if Xander already has a connection with Nyarlathotep?
