Welcome to my fantasy football forum. Feel free to leave messages, give your input or just read the posts. The goal is to make everyone a better fantasy football owner and help with those difficult decisions.

Instructions

To make the board easier to use, if you have an exceptionally long message, please create a post and then place the bulk of the question in a reply. This will make the board load quicker.
When asking for advice on starters, please list the player and who they are playing if possible (i.e. Couch @ CIN, Dillon - CLE).
It is also helpful to include your scoring system (Performance or TD only is often enough, but if you have anything funky, it helps to know it).
Above all, we are all here to learn so don't take anything the wrong way or get upset. Just have a good time and enjoy.

Any news on what the heck Spurrier's going to do with Davis this week. He totally sucked against Dallas but if he plays enough might find room against NYG. My other option would be Curtis Martin against Denver. Aaargh.

Dave,
According to your worksheet, KC is still ranked as the worst defense in the league. I agree they are bad, but are the really #32. Especially after the last 4 or 5 games. Arizona is ranked 29th in rush D 28th in pass D and 31st overall, where as KC is 17th in rush D and 32nd in pass D and ranked 32nd overall. I'd have Seattle, San Diego, Arizona and Detriot ranked below the Chiefs over the course of the season. And if you only look at the last 4 or 5 games, wouldn't they be near the middle of the pack?

I have a delima at rb week 14 and would appreciate any help.
I have: Portis (must start), Dillon vs Carolina, Garner vs Denver, Alexander vs Philly. My gut tells me Dillon..but I have Chad Johnson at wr and hate to start both..and Johnson has been awfully hot to sit. My other wrs are Driver (must start) Booker (qb?) vs Miami, Chambers vs Chicago, and Coles vs Denver. I'm in a league that allows 1 pt per 10 yrds rushing or recieving..and 6 pts for all tds. Any suggestions?? I also like Garner..but am playing a team with Tomlinson and Henry so I think tds will be critical.

Critical game this week - as all games are this time of year. Yardage/TD league. The question is play Vick at Tampa Bay or Fiedler at home versus Bears on Monday night. It almost sounds ridiculous to ask, but the Tampa defense scares me, especially playing at home after losing last week. I'm going to monitor Fiedler's injury, but let's assume he'll be close to 100%. Any input would be appreciated...

Burress vs. ???. Does it matter. If Stewart is the QB he will not take chances downfield and risk interceptions thats why he's a terrible QB> I'd rather see Batch out on the field. Best WR on the team a non factor.

Bad situation, who do I start
Pittman vs Packers or
Duckett vs Panthers.

The unknown is how much either of them will play. Duckett did have a nice game the first time he played Carolina and that might be why he was held out last week (so he could be rested). On the other hand Packers don't have much of a run def. so Pittman (or Alstott) might have a nice game.

Also, (leaning towards) Pennington or Warner?

1. Aaron Stecker: Keep an eye on this guy. Might be worth a pickup in keeper leagues. Obviosuly Pittman may turn it around but Stecker seems to be a tough fast runner whose playing remarkably well.
2. Jeff Blake: This guy is a decent QB but he's got to spread the ball around more. He must throw 80 percent of his passes to Travis Taylor. Reminds me a lot of Kordell Stewart/ Hines Ward. Has anyone notice Heap's disappearance since Blake became the QB?
3. Plaxico Burress: This guy is top shelf. Hopefully Cowher talked to Stewart this week and told him to get #80 the ball. Stewart tends to lock onto one guy and that's been Hines Ward but I gaurantee you the bengals know this. Stewart needs to stretch the field throwing the ball to Burress. I think Burress is one of the main reasons why Pittsburgh has been winning. he stretches the field, scores and takes the double teams away from Ward.
4. Curtis Martin: I don;t like this Wayne Fontes approach to goal line offense. Take your best player out of the game inside the 20 yard line. Martin is a great RB. If he's hurt take him out period or rest him a series or two. Jordan has'nt done anything spectacular to lead me to believe that he's a better TD machine then Martin. If Edwards wants to pass inside the 20s fine but don't take your best player out of the offense around the 20s. Martin is quicker, faster can block better and catch better and can run between the tackles. Plus he does'nt fumble.
5. Isac Bruce: Nice to see him producing again. Personally I think he's the best receiver in St. Louis. Holt is over rated. hopefully Warner will get him the ball more like Bulger. Man we have short memories.

Q - I'm going McNair over Beuerlein however I still remain a little hesitant on what the Titan's game plan is going to be like. I can just envision a low scoring boring game. Whereas the Denver/Ind could be a shoot out.
R - Martin is a must start. Jordan's involvement sinks C-Mart's value though big time. Lamar Gordon if he starts is a must to get in the line-up. All purpose RB willc atch a lot of passes from a rusty QB. My other option is Davis but that's a friggin mess.
W - Owens and who knows. Burress vs. the Bengals. Chambers vs. Chargers. Leaning towards Burress but Chambers could surprise. Has Cowher said anything this week about Stewart's start?

Here are my options for a kicker with who they have left to play. Scoring is 1 point for extra point and 1/10 for each yard of the field goal. Ex: 36 yard FG = 3.6 points. Also missed XP = -1, missed FG <30 yards = -2, missed FG between 30 and 40 = -1.
