• Her brow furrowed softly as she came to, her eyes flickering a little before they slid open, dazed by the bright lights and unfamiliar surroundings "Joey?" she murmered, barely able to talk. Her own voice sounded muffled, as if it were coming from far away, and her head felt disconnected to the rest of her body. The drugs she was on were making her woozy and disorintated. She'd been in surgery for three hours, mending her broken collar bone and stitching up the large gashes to her arms and legs and face. I don't know the technical terms of most things, but he's in pain... not enough to have to put him down, but enough that you guys are probably both going to miss the rest of the winter season..." • She was relieved to hear that. She honestly didn't care if she could never compete again, she was just glad that Spencer was still alove. She doubted she could ever have brought herself to sit on another horse again if she had been responsible for killing the one things that loved and trusted her more than anything else in this world. "Will he get better? I don;t want him to suffer if he'll never get better..." She murmered, looking up at ryan and seeking honesty and truth from him. She couldnt so selfish that she'd keep him alive if there was no hope for him to recover tot he point that he could still be a horse and do the things he loved doing- running in the pasture, hacking out. She could live with him never competing or jumping again- she would keep him as a companion horse till the end of his days if thats all he could do, but she didnt want him to suffer needlessly. A small smile twinged the corner of his lips as he listened to her, he knew that horse meant the world to her and it would have ripped him to shreds knowing that the horse was suffering and Lacey, in turn was suffering - so he was pleased to make the report. "Tom said he'd stop by later on today to have a talk with you about what's going on but he wanted one of us to talk to you first and let you know what's going on.." • Lacey took it all in and closed her eyes with a soft sigh, pursing her litps softly. They had her neck in a collar to stop her from moving about and it prevented her from even nodding her head. Her injuries stung an throbbed- the local anesthetic wearing off from the lacerations to her face and her arms.
