He gestured to the girl laying out in the bed between them like a barrier to keep them from touching one another, "has nothing to do with me.." Well, in a roundabout way it did, but not directly. She didn't throw herself from the back of a horse because he had insisted that she stay away from his sorry ass, but she wouldn't have been out there, doing what she was doing, if they were still together.

He acted with his emotions without thinking if they were logical or a good idea or anything..he just reacted.
