He was really bothered by the letter from the school - he wasn't dumb by any means, but he failed to understand why some of this "practical theory" even applied to photography in the first place. He also knew that his father would withdraw his generosity - while they were wealthy, his father was always concious of Ryan "squandering money" on frivolous things. He finally rose, taking a flute of champagne from a nearby server's tray and thanked them before heading over to her and pressing a kiss to her cheek. "You look amazing."
