Glenn, Great depth to pull those coins back to light. What kind of detector do you use?? Theory time for the lack of silver...Kids did'nt have alot of money back then in their pockets. Most kids brought their lunch to school because of financial reasons at home. If "Lil Johnny" went to school and lost his lunch money, two things would happen. One of course he would go hungry. Second if he went home and told momma it's a$$ whooppin time. Also I've hunted some old schools and went away spanked for silver. I'll theorize it this way. It's called Whites and Tesoro, two very good machines for descrimination. My CZ blows in that dept. but can detect halfway down to China. Try doing this. Hunt the perimeters of the school. Most detectorists don't bother with this area. Also remember the "lazy detectorist" who won't hunt under bush's or remove trash to open up new areas to hunt. Yes I admit I'm in a silver slump also. Only found a silver quarter since I've been here. No Mercury's, rosey's nuthin..HH...Wheat
