PG-13 only means that there's violence, a little cussing (not much), and maybe a make-out scene or two. The Lord of the Rings, which has a total of one make-out scene (which lasted all of three seconds, maybe), is PG-13, though that's due mainly to the graphic violence in it. You know, decapitations, blood, gore, guts, etc. I didn't hear any cussing in LoTR at all, but that's because Tolkien didn't have any cussing in his books, and the movie is quite close to the book.

Movies that are rated R or NC-17 have more of the sex-scene junk in them. That's why they are rated R or NC-17. R stands for "Restricted", meaning people over the age of 13 who can handle the content are allowed. NC-17 stands for "Nude Content-17", meaning only people who're 17 or older may be permitted to rent/watch the movie.

So if a board is rated PG-13, I take that to mean that I should watch out for some violence and the occasional bad word. The only time I start watching for sex is when it's rated R or higher. Then, I'm on my guard and sufficiently warned about such things.

And BTW, I really wish you'd consider rejoining the NB. I think you could really have a lot of fun and learn some things. Just give it another try, and keep in mind that we're only trying to be friendly and give some advice. Of course, the choice is entirely up to you, but I'd like to see you there.
