It seems to me that your realm of experience is being tapped from books and professors who read books.

I'd like to have your "take" on these topics after you've spent some time serving in a government office for a number of years.

The theories, in theory, should work. It's getting them to work when you're in the office, oval or otherwise, that presents the challenge.

I, for one, am tired of being responsible for folks who don't care. I stayed home a long time without a paycheck to raise my girls. I gave up a lot of stuff. I volunteered daily in our public schools, which are loaded with kids who have real problems because their parents are too busy working to raise them. I'm tired of being responsible for people who haven't figured out how to save for their futures or make their lives better. The small percentage of people who actually NEED help should get it, yes, but there are a whole lot of people who are just plain lazy. Why are they MY responsibility?

Sorry to come off defensive, but I felt attacked by your words.
