He nearly growled but tried to keep the angry tone out of his voice. As aggravated as he was, he had no intention of hurting her as he had that night that he had let his mouth run away with him. He cared about her to much to play those little mind games but obviously she didn't share those feelings.

She was all but pleading with him and was clearly desperate to have him with her - so that she could see him and know that he wasn't mad at her or anything like that.
