Her touch had him shifting a little as his set his glass down on the edge of the table and hooked his fingers into the waist of her jeans to pull her nearer to him. He wanted to believe that this connection to her was purely about the physical, but knew that in fact there was something a little deeper than just release. He ducked his head and kissed the side of her mouth warmly, breathing out a soft sigh against her smooth skin.

Everything in her was telling her to let him know that she had missed him, that she was happy that he was back but her pride and her survivors nature kept her quiet. To anyone who glanced over at them though, they just appeared to be a couple of kids who were at the begining of a good relationship - obviously into one another.
