Subject: small blocks

i don't think the any head rule for s-b is fair if you are going to have big blocks with conventional head then why not do the same for small blocks?also the unlimited cu.in for s-b is a joke how can a 355 or there abouts compete with 430 in. s-b at 2 h.p per in thats 150 h.p more thats not chump change you have got to have some sort of in. limit or lbs/per in.i would love to run the class but i'm not going to spend another $15,000 to do it.maybe the class should be called old comp motors with a cast intake, yeah thats affordable.also saw the rule for fuel so as i read it i can put a hat on my motor on alcohal to run with carbs on gas thats fair hahaha.theres another $1500.00. one more thing does the min. weight include driver ? i'm sorry for all the questions i just found out about this & would like to run this class but i think i'm out of my league don't think 8.90's will cut it.i'm guessing a 430in. s-b on alcohal at 2300 lbs is close to 8.30's good luck guys ....jeff

good one marvin i'm assuming there will be 2 seperate classes?& again i cannot see how they think a 23 deg head can compete with 18 deg,sb-2 or buicks, that will rule out a lot of people.i say weight per in. on 23 deg heads & no alcohal......jeff
