john we have never met but i know your reputation & respect your input & decisions,i'm glad someone with your reputation has stepped up,there are a lot of us small block guys with 23 deg heads that would love to compete i've talked to a few of my friends & know of 4 cars plus myself that would be involved if we can be close to competitive.we all run 5.70 to 5.90 wt. is from 2200 to 2500 with driver,we are all close but there is no way we can compete with a 565 making over 1000 h.p no matter what weight.we would like to see a seperate class.this may not be feasable at the first 2 races but maybe next year ?this might give others who are close the time to get there.as far as a s/b class there has to be some equalizer for 2-4's maybe allow 2-4's gas only & 1-4 alky, then there is the cu.in. problem, maybe allow 2-4's only under 330 in.& some kind of penalty over 380 in.i know it sound complicated just some ideas.how about p& g everyone at the begining of the year & seal the motor like nhra,we use to get p& g'd in comp& they put a colored seal on the bolts.i know this stuff is available we would just have to police ourselves,if someone wants to protest a motor let them & let them put up a small fee like nhra.i think most all of us are honest & don't need to cheat to win .i for1 would not want to be known as a cheater& i think that goes for most everyone else.i'm pulling my car out of the trailer where it has been for the last 5 years i'm going to go through it this winter & hope to run with you next season if all works out.good luck to you all, john if you need any help i am willing just don't want to be the front man if you know what i mean....
