The type of dreams your talking of here. I have experenced similar type dreams in the past, and feel that just because I am free of them now, dosnt mean they won't return someday.
However, Consider what symbolic meaning these could have for you. I know, that isnt much help right now. It could refer to a gut-wrenching situation (you've been through some of that, right?) Perhaps something that has been reperessed that is surfacing in these dreams? Think on what they have in common....the common symbols. Are there differences in the ones that repeat? The answers to these questions can help figure out what message is trying to get through.
I have had dreams that others have had at the same time. It was a bit startling to hear that several others had the same dream on the same night, and all awoke at the same time. Each person seeing it from their own perspective in the dream. That one was stating an event that could happen if precautions were not taken, and the result was precation taken to avoid it from happening.
Then there were the ones that were basically symbolic in nature...that had the same type of feeling about them, and have been a "shared" dream. But then, One of my children had found out that they could call me into one of their dreams...which poses a different twist.
There was a dream that I can't even begin to describe here due to the nature of it...but the message in it that caused it to cease is...."IT" has no power over me. However, I ran accross someone else who was having the SAME recurring nightmares....For her, I was able to join her in her dream and help her with it. Seemed strange, but yet, normal (weird). I have only done that twice since, and really not THAT skilled at it though. Just letting you know, you and your children are not alone with these types of dreams.
For my children, the dream catchers and dream pillows do work somewhat, but less so for me. These things needed to be recharged every month when my mother-in-law was having these dreams, and after about 6 mo...the dreams slowly went away.
Bright blessings and peaceful nights sleep!
