OK everyone, take a deep breath, some valium, whatever. Read Burton's post a few lines down concerning the language and censorship issue. Read his post from a few days ago when the hackers were posting using his nickname. He said he wasn't going to let them drive him from the board. So many people had their doubts that it was actually him when he first started posting...now everyone automatically believes any post with the "LUXTON" name is him? After reading his posts, do you really think it would be his style to leave the BB in this manner? Come on! Give the guy some credit, please. I'm sure if he were to decide to stop posting, he would spell out his reasons, not just say "See ya". Geeez.... --- Fred

I'm with you Fred ..I think Burton was very clear on how he feels about the people he has met un cyberspace...and has stated that he would ignore anyone who tried to belittle him on this board.
I don't think he would leave in such a manner. So let's wait and see if the real Burton returns to his true fans.

You may be right Fred. I certainly hope you are. But nevertheless, this is turning into a bit of a circus on this board. Poor Deb is playing referee and everyone and their cat has a question for Luxton (yes, including myself).
I must admit I sat here in shock for about an hour and it DID cross my mind that Burton may have had nothing to do with it. But based on what happened here today, I'm sad to say, I think a possibility...

I agree with the Scott-miester.
Plus the guy's gotta get back with the Band. I'm sure he'd like to get the book done before the tour. I'm sure I'm sure he has better things to do than...

Either way Burton, I'll say one last time, thanks a bunch.
I like your stuff and I've had a blast getting to know ya in a small way. You seem like a straight-ahead honest guy. That is the highest tribue I can give anyone.

God, I hope you're right Fred. I very much hope you're right. If indeed your hunch proves correct, then might I suggest we all wave goodbye to the VOY board? I like the layout but if this latest LUXTON post is just some anonymous crapfuck stirring up the cauldron, then we need to find a board/chat scene where there's only *ONE* person allowed per "stage name." This way, there would never be this kind of thing happening again. Freddie, thanks for being the voice of reason (God knows I'm too hot-blooded to be like you). I'll stick around to see the outcome of this one --- if it really was Burt, then I'm walking. It wouldn't make any sense for any of us to stick around after this ... no sense at all. If we find out Burton didn't actually post what was posted in the "See Ya" post, then we shall hunt down the fake poster and hang him by his testicles ..... iHawk

Thanks Fred. The valium was a great idea:) Whether that was BC checkin' out or not, this board has been and can continue to be a good source of interest and information. All this negativity is a waste of our (and BC's, too)time and energy. I want to hear more about his book, future and past music, concerts, different people's personal experiences meeting BC, and in what ways we all think he is such a great artist. ---It is really an honor that BC spends time here; he has earned our respect and it should be extended. Let's all be ourselves, but let's keep it fun.
