Subject: Best lines from a BC/GW song

There was a great thread a couple weeks back on our pics for best GW/BC line. Since they were lost when they upgraded here and Burton never got to see them, let's do it again. Yeah, you can pick more than one !

and if only for an instant, amid the hurly burly and rapid jive, I could look up at something I once thought I believed in and thank him for the feeling of sometimes being alive.

I'll rip the lashes offa yo eye,
I'll slaughter all your cattle and I'll burn your crops
If ya missin with anothah guy."

[Hah hah, BCPC, beat you to it. You have to think of a different one now ;^)]

In Your Bathroom [Cummings - Tales From The Clarkside}

I ate some squash and turkey mama
But I got carried away
This time I ate even more than I did before
But now I'm achin', breakin', from all that bakin'
And my belly's like a big balloon
My heartburn situation ain't nothin' but poor.

So if you're really worryin' what I'm doin' in your bathroom
Told ya honey it's all comin' up real soon
If you're really wonderin' when you can get back in your bathroom
C'mon back later I'll be done by the next full moon

Thanks, Dan. Nothing like a bit of unsolicited validation to make a guy's day! One day I'll dig out my alternate Albert Flasher lyrics (long story).

I always like "Times I have wondered, where I'll be found, I look to the future, by turning around, by turning arouuuun hounnnnnnd!"
But I also like that rambling bit from Those Showbiz Shoes like AW said.
(I found her in a star, I didn't have to look very far)
Love that song

I'm going to appear in several responses of the next posts simply because I must need my hearing checked - I've been singing several of these lines with a few different words here and there.

I had "the deeper the - driven - goes ??

Is it drillin?

Don't want to listen to my telephone ring
or sing ding a ling or talk about a thing
leave me alone this morning.

Three days to get it on
Three days to get it off

shopping bag lady , asleep on the snow, if you had your fortune, you'd trade it for a kind hello

living in confusion, searching for truth that I never found, I needed something to really believe

lookin' all around the ashes, pickin' up broken pieces everywhere

don't have to fear, nobody else is here. don't have to see I know what I wanna be. don't have to make an explanation to you

seem like they come and go so quickly, dissapear in the air like a breath of wind and they may not ever be explaine

Move over red robin, have you got room for one more that just can't seem to win.

Whatever happened to images cause now they're gone
And worn-out phrases just keep a hanging on
Whatever happened to jomes as opposed to houses
The conversation sinks as the evening drowses
....
Whatever happened to early morning open skies
and broken faces, half with melting eyes,
enough of riddles that just play with time

(love those lyrics!!)

Do you find some self-importance in the tings that you've done, your're finding out that no one really cares..

Well, everyone else is doing more than one so here goes (although I have to agree with a lot of you on Broken's lines)

-Do it your way, your way's the best for you.

-don't meet the devil yellin' "yeah right on" (never meet the devil yellin' yeah, right on)

-(dialouge) "That sure is a shitty band up there on the stage. They can't even play four bars together. I never heard anyone play that shitty before" or something to that effect

Like I say up above, maybe I need my hearing checked ;-)
