So, now that you, Burton, are reading this board, I'll repost one of my first messages, hoping you'll read it. Don't know if you remember me, but we met through Dann Rogers, and shortly after that you hired a friend of mine, Jack Daniels. You used to get a kick out of my mom, when we would come see you, of end up at a jam session at one of the clubs in the LA area. You dubbed her your 66 year old groupie. I began trying to find a site on the web back in early 1998 to let you know that your 66 years old groupie made it to 84. Mom died in November of 1997 - and she left still loving your music. That's how I found this board, and was delighted to find many others who feel about you and your enormous talent that same way I do. I've been living in the Portland, Oregon area for 13 years now, and I am hoping that one of the concerts will be close enough for me to get to. I'd like to show my husband just why your voice and music touches me - and obviously many others the way it does. I'm watching very carefully for dates and times. Best of luck on the reunion tour, plus your personal efforts, and if you see Ian, tell him hi for me. Miss the fun times, and God Bless. Mari
