Wow, it's feeding frenzy time at the ol' message board. Burt, you must by now realize how much you and your music has meant in our lives. To say you've been a factor in our lives is understating it somewhat. Mandrew's 21, I'm 26, I've got a 29-year old brother who digs your work --- you've not only connected with your generation, but managed to extend your influence "on down the line." For God's sake, my late father used to blast "Fine State Of Affairs" whenever it came on the radio when I was a boy. I dug that song even then. Hey, I love Foo Fighters, Ben Folds Five, Barenaked Ladies, Nirvana, and many other current bands a helluva lot, but you to me ARE music. You and Rand together are f***in' dynamite! Truly the Lennon-McCartney of Canadian music. Could you answer me a few things? I really would appreciate it ... I've just had these questions for so long: (1) What's the word on a Guess Who catalog remastering? I'm dying to get my paws on Paradise & Power!!! (2) What about the pre-TheseEyes stuff, like the CBC stuff and Wild Pair and such? Is there any eye towards making that avail? (3) Was the "would-be intellect" in "Bridge In Time" Elvis Costello? (4) Any idea why the Guess Who is passed over time and time again for the Hall Of Fame, while Bonnie Raitt and Lovin' Spoonful are inducted? Such bullsh*t! (5) Any word on a new CD with Glen Ballard? That kind of talk's got me "shakin all over" ......... BTW, I managed to get my hands on a side of Deverons cuts --- was "She's My Lover" the first cut you ever wrote? ......... stay loose, Burt ........ Glenn

Plus, Hawk, I'd like to get some more of that "different" takes stuff that was on the Ultimate Collection. Hearing Burt go "we're faded about a mile before that" and the Randy going "Why did you go up high there" for that "Lightfoot" take was just AWESOME! Love that stuff!
