One of my favorite country tunes is one called "Lord, This Time you Gave Me a Mountain", originally done by Marty Robbins. My friend Jack Daniels used to sing this one when he was in a band called SilverCreek - before he played for Burton. I've always wondered how Burton would do with this quite emotional ballad.

Umm... excellent choice and Marty's songs would be in a good range for BC (now that you've reminded me, I've got MR's version of this handy...)

Some others that I've been thinking of:

Always on my Mind (Willie Nelson) oh yeah, Elvis did this one too
Midnight Hour (Wilson Pickett)
AND
anything by Ray Price or Nat King Cole -- I love those smooth voices
