Subject: Best Line/Couplet from GW/BC

TLLegend came up with a good topic that's buried under an avalanch of another thread. What's your favorite lyrical line from TGW/BC? Mine is the tremendously meaningful "Brreet,...jong bonga..etc." from the Paramount Amer Wom. which I challenge anyone to transcribe below syllable by syllable, from the first "brrreeet" to those naughty words.

Quothe Webster:
Two verses or lines of poetry, especially two that rhyme together; a pair of rhymes.

So I guess they don't HAVE to rhyme. Some days are like that, just ask Gilbert O'Sullivan.

I like your "Boring Dreams" verses alot. They really caught my attention. Good wordsmithing, as well as making a meaningful statement. I guess we would term this a quadruplet.

Do you find self-importance in the things that you do
you're finding out that no one really cares

If I had the mind or I had the time maybe I could throw together a new kind of rhyme and tell about my warning
but its too late now..>

Whatever happened to images
cause now they're gone
Ane worn-out phrases just keep a hangin on
Whaterver happened to homes as opposed to houses

Whatever happened to early morning open skies
and broken faces, half with melting eyes
enough of riddles that just play with time,
cause I'm still here and I can't beg a dime..

..Should've stayed in bed this morning
payin much too bad
but when i think of you when I wake up
it makes me forget what I have to do
Think i'll stay in bed this morning
paying much too baaa..aa.aaa.ad
So I guess I'll dream about you baby
and forget where I am
and forget about who I am
and forget about what I am....

I'll tell mine again, a tossup between,

"...you took away everything I had you put the lid on me....." and, "a bag of goodies and a bottle of wine, we're gonna get it on right tonight...." What can I say? :P

I think that was a VERY commendable effort. A round of applause would be MOST appropriate at this juncture. Perhaps when we have this wildly anticipated heading up north for the big celebration (a gathering of the Hordes of Burtonian Brethren at the occasion of a GW reunion concert in Toronto, or somesuch), you would be so kind to give us your live verbatum rendition of this superhuman scat. You don't have to do the naughty words unless you really want to.

this is a song, lyrically, that should of made
J. Lennon jealous. how was this not a bigger
hit?

the good news is that BC sings Sour Suite
better as he has, uh, matured. (to me,
maybe the best song on the fabulous UC&A)
