Subject: GENIE AWARDS

Don't know if anyone missed it, but just in case, Burton appearred on The Genie Awards Sunday night on CBC TV.
He presented the song of the year from a Canadian film and performed "You Saved My Soul", a previous winner of the award in 1983.

I saw it. What an awesome performance!!! When he sang that song, it sent shivers down my spine.Talk about a voice, WOW. Truly sensational. Did you all enjoy it as mush as I did?

Yes a sensational job, nice to see him play the Grand Piano for a change, enjoyable ! ! And didn't he look nice in his new jacket ! !

It was great!! He did look good in his new jacket but I was surprised that there was no Bumble Bee shirt under it!

What really impressed me was the ovation. Burton had to thank the audience multiple times to settle them down and I thought they were on the verge of a standing "O". Once again proving how respected he is throughout the entertainment industry. Which makes me comment that I don't believe Burton has received the Order of Canada (please correct me if I'm wrong), constantly being introduced as Legend, Icon and National Treasure begs the question, Why Not?
