Subject: Okay, small rantings time!

Righty-o!!

It's been such a long time sinec we had a rant, (Well, along time in comparison to the days of olde when rantings were a common and thrilling sport.) and a rant right now would go down a treat for me. Nowadays, rants are elusive, wonderous things when scribed by the hands of a talented olde-rantist. I may not be a shakespeare, but I'll give it a whirl. ^_^

1) My camera is horrible. It's sick and twisted and has a devious mind that I'm sure was manafactured in Lucifer's Toy Line, 666 Beast lane, Hell. I had 3 films of 24-exposures, and EACH ONE was chewed up and spat back out at me. I took a beautiful picture of the sunset, the glorious orange melting over the sky and creating a rippling fire that cast itself accross the heavens; Gone. The camera grinded and crunched as I rewound the film inside, and when I opened it to see what was happening, it had stripped the film down one side, and left it so it would dangle fully out as I opened the back, over-exposing the film inside so that my pictures would all be of white horses playing with chalk on the snowiest day of August (Winter here). I swear that when I opened it I heard a manaical laugh echo in my flat. stupid cameras.

2) Old topic, I know, but the last time this was discussed it was on a place where the average IQ was so low that when Aaron walked in the room, he single-handedly raised it by 600%. During this raised issue, insults flew around the board like... stuff... and I couldn't really see any reasoning or thought put into the arguments, so I leave the judging up to you. THE END OF DISC 2!! What happened, really? Was it merely the expressing of simple words that got Tifa so embaressed on the Highwind, or did she have just cause for going into conniptions? Nothing is ever really explained and noone knows exactly. Personally, after viewing the scene and it's follow-ups nearly 50+ times, I have become convinced that something DID happen between Cloud and Tifa. Here are some of my reasons;
- Tifa was incredibly embarassed after she found out the the team had been on the Highwind while the two of them had been down there. Everybody knew Tifa felt for Cloud strongly, save Cloud himself, and she'd practically openly admitted it to everyone in Mideel, so why would she be embarassed now. Remember also that even Cloud scratches the back of his head in an uncomfortable way when he realises everyone had been there.
- Though Tifa was always supports and is loyal to Cloud throughout the game, did anyone else get the vibe from her that she'd been completely renewed in her optimism from that point on? It was like she had no reason to hold back from admiting to Cloud that she'd fight as long as he was fighting with her. Everything she said from that point on was topped with a cherry.
- The contact between the two of them was really comfortably close after that. From the morning she awoke from sleeping on Cloud's shoulder, to the snuggling against Cloud as he lifted them onto the ledge at the end, to the way she was wistfully looking at him right afterwards. Their physical contact, however few times, was a unmeasureable in comparison to before the end of Disc 2.
There are plenty more reasons why I support this theory. How far do I think they went? Well... I guess I'd be lying if I said I didn't think they'd gone the "full distance". It would explain why Tifa was so utterly embarassed and why Cloud acted so humble. heh heh. Cloud has l337 n3kk1d 5ki11z!!

3) Does anyone else get "Fresh Up"? Mmmm... I'm sucking it down like... well, Fresh Up, right now. I'm having withdrawal symptoms from running out of Coke. In the last 3 days I have ducked down 24 cans of Coke. That's enough to get you hooked. So without my precious coke, I have been forced to embrace my other love, Apple and Orange Fresh Up. So crisp and juicy and filled with goodness... (Writing suddenly becomes unintelligable.)

4) I had a nother hot topic to discuss, but now I forget what it was. Oh, that's right! Lord of the Rings! I finally saw the movie, as I said I would, when the school holidays have just ended, kids are back at school, some of the hype had died down, I had nearly the whole cinema to myself. ^_^ And what a fantastic movie!! Being a citizen of New Zealand, I feel it's my job to inform you of the places I recognised in the film. To be honest, there weren't a lot of places that had been left identifiable. But among the ones that were, I recognised a lake or two, Lake Wanaka and Horeshoe lake, and a lot of the marshland/plains scenes were filmed very close to where I live. (Well, where my parents live.) The Canterbury plains! Most of the landscape shots I saw had actually been altered in some way so they didn't look quite territorial. (A smart move on the movie's behalf, I would think.) And what a great pic of actors, too! Good old Gandalf at the start, I nearly wet myself with the funny look he gave! All in all, I give that movie a well-deserved 10/10!!

Oh damn, I'm late. I hafta fly, I'll continue this later. See ya!

:)
