Subject: Games delayed/pulled

Reports are filtering in from all over the net about changes, delays, and recalls being made to various entertainment products due to the recent tragedy.

Metal Gear Solid 2 will not be showing up on US shores this year as previously planned. There are sections of the game that show the new Metal Gear rampaging through and destroying sections of New York City. The game's Japanese launch is planned to go ahead as scheduled.

Red Alert 2 has been pulled from Wal-Mart and Staples store shelves because the opening video shows the destruction and fall of New York City. MS Flight Simulator 2000 is also being considered for store removal due to the players ability to fly planes into the WTC.

Are these the right things to do? I mean if the content was so questionable now, then why wasn't it deemed so before. Is it a matter of tact? If so, then when is the best time to start releasing these sorts of products again?

Right now is a confusing time to be living in.
