Ranskin looked quite surprised and slightly alarmed when Q burst into tears. He tried not to shift uncomfortably, and glanced at the bird as if for help. The bird, however, had resumed poking through the remains of Q's supplies. Ranskin waited until Q regained her composure, then cleared his throat. "A dragon? So you are from the Colony." He paused for a moment, then went on. "You know, you can still go back if you want to. The Council understands that sometimes people aren't prepared. They'll call you again another time."
