Subject: OOC: Eh heh, antidote comes in various ways, Chaos. And I finished the book you lent me (it's awesome, I loved it). And everyone, please note that I’m wanting to avoid confusion in my following post, so even though Lialye doesn’t know any of your chars at all, in the descriptions as she moves about from victim to victim I, as her Creator, will be using your chars’ names. Just to make this easier for everyone, ‘kay? Now look inside for my IC post. It’s, like, uber-long. I kid you not.
In reply to: Adwen 's message, "Adwen, floating gently the couple feet to shore, washes up on the beach. Her eyelids flutter once or twice, then she opens them. What had happened? She dimly remembers Oricon's cry for help, the sting of the poison, and the water closing over her head...she thought she'd heard Rustam's voice too, just before she'd blacked out completely...or had it all been an illusion? She tries to get up, but her muscles are still too weak from the poison, and she can barely turn her head. Looking out towards the ocean, she sees the limp forms of Rustam and another girl floating on the water. There appears to be no signs of life from either of them. Was her brother...? Had he saved her, only to be claimed by the monster? "Rustam..." she gasps. Her eyes close again and she fades out once more." on 19:43:56 12/17/03 Wed

IC: Lialye strides toward the group, eyes scanning the situation systematically. She ignores the girl standing on the beach, discarding her as unharmed and therefore insignificant.

The first girl Lialye comes to, Terra, seems barely conscious. She’s also still in the water, a problem that should be taken care of. It couldn’t be pleasant to wake up with briny seawater washing about you and splashing into your mouth with each wave, nor could it be very beneficial for one’s health… “Verin, do me a favor and pull all those in the water higher up the beach,” Lialye instructs simply, and prepares to move on. Something bumps against her foot, though, and looking down Lialye sees that it’s a notebook. Picking it up, she scans the contents of the open page and frowns. /To think I’ve been wasting all these years to come up with the right solution myself/, she thinks sourly, then tosses the notebook onto dry sand and moves on.

Adwen, Rustam, and Terra are all unconscious, while Chaos is unconscious but appears to be perfectly fine. The broken bottle next to him tells the story. Oricon is awake, though certainly not doing too well…and then there’s Mai’tsa.

/This is bad, this is very bad/, Lialye thinks as she bends over Mai’tsa’s unconscious and barely breathing form, eyes going to the swollen mark on the back of Mai’tsa’s wrist and – as she sees when she brushes Mai’tsa’s wet, sand-ridden hair back – across the back of her neck, to judge by the swollen red that runs to both sides of her neck. Urgently, ignoring the inches-deep water washing around them, Lialye pulls a carefully padded bottle out of her satchel and opens it, then pries Mai’tsa’s mouth open and pours several drops in, plugging the girl’s nose and rubbing her throat to make her swallow. That done, Lialye carefully pulls Mai’tsa onto dry sand. /I don’t think she’ll make it/, she thinks to herself in her usual pessimistic, the-worst-that-can-happen-will-happen attitude, /but I’ve got to tend to the others as well…/.

The unconscious ones come first, Adwen, Rustam, and Lunae, each getting only a few drops, as that’s all that is required and because Lialye only has one bottle anyway. Next is Terra, and then Lialye comes to Oricon.
