• Terra bites her lip. She wasn't going to get stung again. She crawls up shore until she's completely out of the water, then focuses all her strength on just keeping herself awake. A lot of help I am, she thinks bitterly, beaten by a poisonous blob. Lunae is never going to let me live this one down. It was then that a little notebook swam into her vision. She recognizes Lunae's handwriting. Terra finally sees her friend's prone body unconcious close by. Well crud, she sighs, Lunae is down. We're all gonna die. • Choking, Mai'tsa surfaces in water only a foot or so deep, spat out at last by the churning wave. Blackness edges in on her vision as she weakly drags herself toward the relative safety of the beach, fighting the pull of water retreating to the sea and letting the crashing waves push her forward as they come. She is vaguely - /very/ vaguely - aware of tentacles still lashing about in the air and water around her, but the tentacled monster seems to have lost notice of her after that wave pulled her under (luck works in weird ways). At the moment she feels rather numb and lethargic, and would be making very very very little progress if any were it not for the help of the waves. Really all that is holding her to consciousness is the stinging pain in her wrist and neck and the gagging taste of seawater in her mouth, that and the strong urge that she must get to shore, before...before... • Chaos mumbles somewhat, hearing a muffled voice shouting at him. He wishes it would bloody well go away. The poison and his nasty little cure-all are still in him strongly. He won't awaken without some sort of antidote (hint hint). (NT) -- Chaos, 18:45:10 12/20/03 Sat
• No!!! Dont go back to sleep!!!" Oricon put his head on her knees so it would be out of the water. she was still took weak to drag a dead weight body. Trying to focus her eyes on the cork, oricon pulled with all her might. "Let go!!! Open up!!! You Quay, idiotic, annoying, stupid, bottle!!!" Oricon wailed as she beat the bottle on the sand. She could not open it.Crick. oricon felt the bottle hit something. quickly she put her hands around the bottle. There, she felt it. a small crack was in the bottle. Oricon beat it on the sand again. Clack. warm liquid poured in a steady stream over her finger. Quickly she let it pour into the boys mouth. "Swallow!!! You can do that!!! Please! Swallow!!!" BIC: Chaos feels the warm liquid. Too tired to care what it is, he just swallows. At the first drop his mind begins to clear, and vague awareness returns. Some blonde elf was right in his face. Huh, the monster turned into an elf. Well, that's all right then. • Oricon sighs, 'Well, what can you expect with an Halfelf that cant see clearly, has almost no sence of balance, and has a boy laying across her knees. All because of the monster in the water.' With almost the last of her strength, Oricon pulls herself and the boy on dry sand right above the tide. Again, Oricon turned to the side and vomited, this time, it was blood. And everyone, please note that I’m wanting to avoid confusion in my following post, so even though Lialye doesn’t know any of your chars at all, in the descriptions as she moves about from victim to victim I, as her Creator, will be using your chars’ names.   • Naverin, following Lialye's commands diligently, pulls each of the unconsious people in the water onto the higher elevation on the beach. When doing so, she carefully keeps her eyes out for the glop that seems to have harmed them all. "Well this is great. Perhaps there is more than one of those things. • Oricon hands begin to shake as the cold rushes over her body, she is too stiff to move anymore, and her breathing is becoming laborious. She sees a girl come over too her, but she doesnt care she just wants this too be over with. Oricon closes her eyes and imagines the cave, wishing she were there in its warmth.   • Hmm. This is very bad. Vomiting blood...perhaps Lialye should have waited on Terra until after Oricon. It had just seemed like Oricon had been closer to consciousness than Terra.../but looks can be very very deceiving/, she thinks to herself, carefully dribbling a couple drops into Oricon's mouth. /I suppose consciousness isn't necessarily always a sign of health and well-being... If either she [Oricon] or the other gal [Mait'sa] make it, it'll be more than I could hope for.../, she thinks pessimistically, stopping the bottle and carefully placing it back in her satchel without moving her critical gaze from Oricon's throat, watching to see if the girl could swallow on her own... • Oricon barely feels the warm hands keeping her mounth open, but she does and tries to swallow the few drops that land in her mouth. It manages to go down, but not for long. • Naverin, after pulling all of the unconsious people, or near to it, up higher on the beach, she sees Lialye with an appearing unconsious girl on her lap. Naverin walks over to see how she can now help. "Lialye, is there anything l can do? I know you can't do everything by yourself. Just give me a task to do. • "Blast," Lialye murmurs, pulling the bottle out again. She looks up at Naverin. "Let me know if any of them wake up, or if their condition changes in any way," she instructs wearily, looking back down and passing a hand over her eyes. "Particularly that girl over yonder," she says, gesturing toward Mai'tsa without turning to look.   • OOC: Blasted stupid post-limit, I'm going to kill Voy one of these days... BIC: With that, Lialye sighs, unstops the bottle once more, and gently lets another couple drops trickle into Oricon's mouth. Now, stopping the bottle again and setting it gently down at her side, she speaks to Oricon, be the girl unconscious or no. "Swallow carefully," she says, "let it more slide down your throat than actually swallowing, if you can, and try not to move or that's going to upset your stomach. Most of all, try your best not to vomit, though you'll probably do it anyway." /If she does, I don't think she'll make it/, Lialye thinks grimly, brushing gritty, matted hair out of Oricon's pale face. • Terra groans slightly and opens her eyes. Finding herself lying on the beach does not improve her mood at all. She sits up quickly, then calmly waits for the stroke of nausea and dizziness to pass. Noting that there were sleeping people all around her, (but no one looked really dead yet, since they weren't blue or black or any other nasty colors) she yawns and stretches. The poison hadn't hit her strongly, and she didn't have the patience to be sick from it. Noting that the monster was quite dead, she stands up and brushes herself off. Then she slowly makes her way along the beach, collecting any daggers that managed to wash on shore. After she finds all of the knives with her insignia, she makes her way into the tide trying to find any that could be in the sandy bottoms. She sways as she walks, but other than that she tries to ignore her pains. She still hasn't acknowledged anybody, but that doesn't seem to bother her. (NT) -- Terra Yumakami, 15:09:53 12/30/03 Tue
• Lunae's eyes feel like lead bricks and it takes a great deal of effort just to open them. Using most of her strength, she manages to sit up. Looking around she tries to remember what had happened. *Oh, yes. Now I remember, that horrible creature. But how did I get onto the beach?* Lunae thinks to herself. Then she notices Lialye and Naverin who seem to be giving care to Oricon and guesses that they were the people who must have helped her. She'll have to be sure to thank them. Lunae then notices Terra, who is walking through the tide collecting daggers and such. A grin appears on Lunaes lips as she calls out to Terra, "What are you doing, Terra?" she laughs. • Terra notes that Lunae has finally awakened. She looks up when Lunae calls and smiles. She digs into her pouch and takes hold of a particular knife that she had set aside and holds it up to show her, "Already found this one. Washed right up to shore." • Chaos' remarkable ... er ... colouring is caught out of the corner of Lialye's eye. Alarmed, the aspiring healer looks over from where she is bent above Oricon and her eyes widen. /What in the world...?/ she thinks, making a quick reevaluation of his condition. He had looked before as if he was fine.... /Go figure,/ she thinks, /nothing can be as it seems at first. Curses./ Momentarily leaving Oricon's side, Lialye moves over to Chaos and feels for a pulse. A faint fluttering under her fingertips informs her that he is indeed still - barely - alive. The poison...? Couldn't hurt to be careful, even if it means her supply of antidote slowly dwindling. So, *sigh*, unstopping the bottle yet again, she pries Chaos' mouth open and gently pours several drops into his mouth. "Swallow," she murmurs, massaging his throat. • Adwen drearily opens her eyes to find herself lying on dry sand and feeling rather the worse for the wear. "Urgh," she says, feeling quite disoriented. "Where am I?" Working herself up onto her elbows, she lifts her head and looks about, taking in the scene. Memory crashes down onto her, and she moans again and forces herself to sit up, feeling somewhat woozy. But the monster appears to be dead, at least for now. That was good. She sees Rustam lying unconscious a few feet away and scrambles over. "Rustam!   • Rustam is somewhat pale, but is breathing fine. Hearing his sister's voice, he cracks open an eye. "Adwen?" he asks. Seeing his sister's frantic face above him, he opens both eyes blearily, scowls, and sits up, batting away her hands. "I'm fine, I'm fine, lemme alone! Stop it, Adwen, I'm fine, really... How are you feeling?" he asks, looking at her in concern. Well, she /seems/ to be alright, though she's quite a mess in wet clothes that have been now coated in sand, making her look rather like some scraggly-haired sand monster. He probably didn't look much different, though... "Good grief, I feel dizzy..." he says suddenly, laying back down with a /fwump/ and then staring blankly up at the blue sky.           • "I was just down the beach, teaching Mackai - drat, Mackai. I told her to stay there until I came back..." He jerks upright and looks down the beach, just barely glimpsing what could possibly be a young elven girl leaving the beach. He's almost positive that it's Mackai; the area is about right, and the size of the girl. He sighs. "Oh well; I'll have to find her later. I was teaching her to throw knives and overheard the commotion, so came to help," he says by way of explanation, at Adwen's inquisitive look. "Egh, speaking of knives...d'you wanna come help me look for mine?" he asks. "Hopefully they got washed in by the tide..." Ignoring Adwen's exasperated rolling of eyes, he gets up and leads the way down to the water's edge to start looking for his knives. (NT) -- Rustam, 17:01:18 01/02/04 Fri

• Naverin, who is so absorbed in her thoughts of different serums that must have been used to conjure up the antidote, finally looks up and sees that most of the victims are becoming conscious and even walking about. "Hey Lialye, look, it worked!" She then turns to where Mai'sta is laying,/oh I do hope she gets better, but she is so far gone, I don't know what to think/ (NT) -- Naverin, 18:36:23 01/07/04 Wed
• Lialye sits back with a sigh as Chaos' coloring fades. A glance over toward Oricon shows that the girl seems to be doing fine. Looking around, Lialye nods at seeing the others moving more or less groggily about and goes to join Naverin at Mai'tsa's side, where she bends down and feels for a pulse...
