I see some universal boxes that say thay will work on everything exept the 5508w.
If I use a dc blocking cap and a splitter do you think they might work.
Or is the 5508w channle spacing unique.
I even found a place saying there advenger in compatable the 5508w http://www.001-cable-boxes-descramblers.com/ranger5000avengercart.htm
But I bet there box does not supply the 18vdc to the Cable jack.
Anyways I am looking at a box called the coolbx-2 at: http://www.cable-tv-descramblers.com/universal-descramblers-coolbx2.html for $199. It does have a fine tune on the remote.
Are the 5508 channles (coming in) the same standard as most boxes?
