maybe our bird is male then coz 'she' is starting to come along way at last. 'she' is not forming full words yet but often we get sounds that are similar to words.
I know it is easy to tell the grey cocketiels apart, but the pieds are much harder. We were told that the females only whistle one note, whereas the males tend to be more tuneful, kinda like canaries i guess. I was also told that the females tent to nestle into the neck whereas the male will want to sit on your head. Thats why we presumed fruitloop was female! She is extremely cuddly and prefers to nuzzle into my mans ear than to be anywhere else
but who knows, unless 'it' lays an egg we will never know!
