I hope you don't mind that I brought your post over here. I don't post over on PDP. I wanted to address your post because I have seen you on a few boards and I know that you are trying to fairly see both sides of the issues people are bringing up.

Absolutely-you are right. Most of the people that complain the most have the least to worry about. Or they are concerned but seem to think that it is the Pit Bull owners that should fight the battle alone. Until you have been involved in the Pit Bull breed and dealt with the problems...you have NO idea what it is like to be a Pit Bull owner these days. And when people deliberately..and some of the posts you see about Pit Bulls on these boards are deliberate..try to misinform or create a hysterical attitude about the breed..it does enormous damage.

The reason for all the hostility you see between the Pit Bull owners and a few people is the result of a longstanding frustration with having to deal with certain non Pit Bull posters who daily feel the need to harrass us wherever we are. I saw someone on BDB&G say that wherever Primmy is,the Pit Bull people are sure to follow. That is NOT the case. Primmy and a few others seem to find it enjoyable to jump into every conversation concerning Pit Bulls with misinformation or personal attacks against a Pit Bull owner. Or deliberately start a thread designed to bait Pit Bull owners into coming to a board to argue. The majority of the non Pit Bull owners over there that are being made fun of or that are being given a hard time are people that we have had run ins with in the past. There is a LONG history here and I know to someone who has not been around for a long time-it looks chaotic and seems sometimes like people are being attacked for no reason. But believe me-these people know why they aren't popular with us,lol.

Make no mistake..when that post(Let's wrangle)was started on PDP-it was with the intention of luring Pit Bull owners over there. And Casey herself has enough of a history with us to know that it would start an all out war on the board. The Pit Bull owners that posted on Acme have dealt with it for 2 years.

There are MANY Pit Bull owners that have made efforts to discuss Pit Bulls with Primmy civilly. That's not what Primmy wants. Primmy wants an uproar swirling around her at all times. She did it on the Acme Pit Bull board. When the Pit Bull board was closed and we moved over to the Acme Terrier board,she came over there. Now that Acme has closed down,she will use PDP in the same way.

The reason certain posters are made fun is simply because we know that there is NOTHING that we can say or do that will change these people's minds. Because that's not why they are there. They are there to cause disruption and wage personal attacks on people they don't like. This isn't so much about Pit Bulls at all anymore. This is about arguing with posters that a few of them don't like. It's just that the way to start the fight is to drag the breed in it and they know it.

We absolutely will talk to new people seriously about the breed. All of us do. I have had to create a public board where I do not allow Primmy,Casey and a few others to post. But anyone else is welcome to ask away. It is the only public board we have where they cannot interject their own views or comments on a breed they don't own and know nothing about.

As you can see from PDP-if certain posters get involved,the thread will degenerate into a brawl and the discussion goes out the window.

One of the reasons,people won't answer some of the questions posed is for one simple reason. Anything we say on public boards will be used against us at a later time,lol. All of us feel like we have to be careful what we say in public because it inevitably gets twisted around or brought up to further someone's agenda.

And if you don't believe it-look at Primmy's posts on PDP right now. There are few that you will not find a personal reference to a Pit Bull owner in. I'll be honest with you. This back and forth with Primmy has went on over 2 years now. It has gotten to the point where Primmy even breathing on a post about Pit Bulls infuriates some of us. We have zero tolerance with her and that's not likely to change. Which is why-among other reasons-I don't waste my time over on PDP trying to discuss an issue seriously. It simply isn't going to happen if certain non Pit Bull owners are involved.

So often-we do use humor-granted some of it is out of line..but all of us get along great with each other and we often find the same things funny. When someone has posted the same point for the 10th time that month and you know that a discussion isn't going to help,often laughing about it or the person is better than the endless arguing about it.

Remember-some of those people that we are hostile towards CHOOSE to post about Pit Bulls and their owners. If they didn't..they would be left alone. People rarely jump into their threads unless they bring up Pit Bulls or a Pit Bull owner.

So what I'm trying to tell you,I guess is I appreciate you looking at both situations fairly and I do understand what you are saying. But-don't count on anything changing. There is just too much animosity on both sides for some of these people to ever get along.

But you are welcome to post on my board if you have any questions and there are some newly created boards that so far are congenial places. I am hesitant to post the address for my board here right now-although I think this particular troll here already knows it,lol. But I think you are at some of the newly created boards and so far they are quiet so I'm sure everyone will help you with the questions you have.
