Dogfighting is already illegal in all 50 states of the USA and is also a federal felony. These new laws that we are fighting, as Peggy notes, are about banning/restricting ownership of particular breeds. And also restricting the rights of people to own certain things (such as treadmills) on the ASSUMPTION that they are only used as part of dogfighting.
