Ignoring the gust of air as it filtered from lungs escaped, Mist gave a canine smile as he smiled back. He was dashing despite all things, a warrior, well trained and skilled in his tasks and doings. She'd never worried much when he was around. Given she'd always been surrounded by strong males from the pack, via Diesel, Band, Greyn, Quiet Paw, Ispan, and the most missed at this time...her son - Dark Thunder. She was glad when he did not push the remark of friendship. For while none lingered at her side for now already she knew of one who may wish to change that and did not wish to push any to a fight when so few of them remained. "Nor you mine." It was true. She rarely forgot those who'd done so much for her and the pack, and he had done much for both. His touch, gentle and missed, lasted so brief and withdrawal with a wince, one she did not comment on though her eyes held the torn emotion the registered there. "There have been those ups and downs. I've lost my alpha male at the moment yet my Betas remain strong and steady as ever. We are smaller now, but I would like to think closer." She paused then thinking of rather or not to go into detail her heirs, deciding to briefly she added. "There are three that hold my lineage now, though none reside here presently. Two males and a female..." She smiled a bitter sweet smile then, the memories of the younger twins and their older sibling. His bringing had been one of pain from the beginning. Yet he had always brought pride to her eye when she saw him...she only hoped to see him again someday. "Where have your travels taken you?" Changing the topic suddenly as to keep melodically from forming.
