Can anyone help. We have a 1977 VW Beetle. The metal rod which goes from the door handle to the door lock has come detatached and we can't see where we can re-attach it to the inside of the door lock (driver's side). This poses a problem as we can close the door but cannot open it from the inside, thus we have to climb over to the passenger side to get out. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
