The problem is the length of wires the power travels from the switch to the starter.The voltage drop is pretty large. The easy solution is to add a hard start relay. This is a Hella relay that is mounted by the starter and allows a full 12 volts to the starter. The relay kit is around $20.00 U.S. and is very easy to install.
