We get HP sauce here so all's good. Dave I couldn't believe he stuff they haven't got. We take so much for granted here. She also took spray oil for her backing tins. She's never seen anything like it. When we were eating chicken she wanted to know what was inside it. I said 'STUFFING' They don't have that kind of stuffing but I'm sure I had stuffing in Poland. They couldn't get over our supermarkets. The abundance of fresh fruit, as we do have great summer fruits here . They had never eaten Mango, Rock Melon, Water Melon. Avocado. I made a huge bowl of potato salad and they didn't know what it was. They don't eat cold potatoes. I said that is was Jan's mother's recipe and I thought it was her mother's but she was taught to cook on the labour farms in Germany. Apparently not the Polish recipe as once thought although she made the best peasant food.
What a learning experience it was for all of us.
I tried to get Jan to translate but he couldn't think straight either. He ended up translating back to ME in Polish. He was really good though. We went places and he joined in as much as he could to the best of his ability. It was a bit draining for him too but they enjoyed their Australian outings.

We've all been invited to stay in their flat with two rooms. It has two click clack couches which pull down at night to make beds and then they are returned to couches during the day so I think I'd have to think about that one. No en-suite would be a problem for me as I'm used to my privacy which I've enjoyed for nearly 40 years so why stop now lol.

As much I loved them being here, the thought of not getting us organised to tour the city or the bush is the best feeling in the world. Ain't life grand when it's just the two of you?
