They certainly lose their leaves here, albeit there is a house further down the village that has a rose bush with small white blossoms and that goes on blooming right into November, which I find unusual. One of our local garden centres has just started getting in the David Austin roses, which are lovely, but the nearest actual rose grower and producer as he is always trying to bring out new roses is Peter Beale in Attleborough, his roses are world famous as well. We sometimes go down for a mooch and a coffee as he has a nice coffee shop attached to his main sales area (or at least it's the main one for the public as he does a lot of his selling on line) and you can buy his roses in the garden centres as well. I like roses that have a perfume as well and so many of the new ones don't, they look beautiful but don't do it for me unless they smell beautiful as well. (Days of trying to make rose perfume for Mum by putting rose leaves in water and ending up with a revolting mess!)
