Ani, you are right she may not, as we know small dogs live to be quite old and she might still be going strong in 10 years. I have a dear friend Helen who won't get another cat because she believes the cat will outlive her. Her last cat lived to be 21. Helen and hubby have two shelter dogs, medium size. One named Footsie (German Shepherd mix) has no rear feet. Footise is amazing and extremely sweet and gentle, he walks on his two front feet. Footise is now 12 and you can tell not feeling his best every day. When he was young he and Helen were on several national news shows, Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS National news. A company made prosthetic shoes for him which he wears when going out for walks in public. He is truly amazing.

You can pull up Footsie on the internet or Footsie and Wright & Fillipis (made his shoes) and you should be able to see him/them.

Have a great day.
