Sounds as though Cyprus road tax is much the same as in the UK, although the side roads here are probably better (albeit we do have some in the very near vicinity that have grass growing in the middle of them where the surface has cracked). BB, we lived in Holland and Germany, complete with TV, for abut 6 years and never got a licence although we did complete the form. In fact the shop in the Netherlands from where we rented the TV went bust and closed down, we only paid for 2 months rent up front and never paid another penny. Couldn't return it, couldn't take it back to UK so gave it to the Youth Club.
