Comparing these prices and services is really interesting. We have a broadband/telly/phone cable package from Virgin that costs just under 40 quid a month. This price was arrived at by negotiation since we used to pay much more than that for a service that my son got in the same town for the price we now pay. The prices are all over the place depending on how much you threaten to switch to another provider.

I listen to the radio a lot via the computer too B4. For a very relaxing and soothing listen I recommend the Orkney Evening Programme on BBC Radio Scotland. News of missing cats and lots of country music. It's another world.

I did some work in the oil terminal on Flotta in the 1980s and became fascinated by the place. One of the refinery operators was from Bathgate and knew my dad! He drew me a cartoon of myself struggling with a foam problem in the gas scrubber which I treasure to this day.
