A plastic junction to join the water pipes together, screw not done up and the junction split. Don't you just love some workmen. Probably the fellow who did the updating works on the cottage (or the person who took over) and who went bankrupt beause he was such a useless workman and topped himself, and the fellow who finished the work off wasn't much better, very much an amateur as could be seen when we had the bath removed and there was rubble and all sorts of garbage under the old bath. Oh bless, he's now putting the floorboards back down. Thank heavens I went to the bank yesterday, just hope I've enough money left after buying petrol etc. He's put in a proper junction joint and said not to relay the carpet until we can be sure that the floor/ceiling underneath is dry, which is no great problem. We'll see if he has a business card that we can have so we have another plumber on tap so to speak.
