Thank you for your kind thoughts. She was actually 12, which is a good age for a greyhound, and alsways had a suspect tum from being kicked and beaten in the 5 years of misery she spent before we got her, and we gave her 7 years of happiness, she was totally spoilt, actually learnt how to play, which was something she had never done before, and gained so much confidence in u that she would deliberately be naughty because it was all part of the fun. If she was being naughty I would raise my hand to her, which made her wag her tail even more, skip out of arm's reach and go on with what she shouldn't have been doing. Because we want to sellthe house and get a bungalow we are busy doing it all up at the moment, have had new windows fitted and are scheduled to have new bargeboarding next month, then we will fill in all the cracks that you get with a house that's over 300 years old, and decorate (in neutral colours!) and get the place on the market next Spring. Once we've moved (I fancy Ludlow or down in the Forest of Dean to be nearer Rachel and my new grandchild which is due in 2 months) we may well get another dog. I think David needs one as he is totally lost without her as she was his constant companion to the extent that if he went upstairs she would be lying at the bottom waiting for him to come back down as she was frightened of the stairs.

Gilly
