Subject: Do workmen have hollow legs?

We have worken replacing the bargeboards and fascia around the cottage and some scaffolders as well at the moment. Do all workmen have an unending appetite for tea and coffee and home mae cakes and biscuits or is it just the ones who come here? We left them the key so that they could get in and make themselves a cup whilst we went off to the opticians and to do some shopping, and pointed them in the direction of the shortbread, and when we got back they informed us that it had been ages since they had made themselves a cup, and then the scaffolders requested a cuppa as well. Looks like my afternoon is being spent making a double batch of biscuits. I was going to make some anyway to take to a reunion of my old school friends later in the week, but if they are going to be here for 3 days I had better make twice as much as I had planned.
