Sounds like a fun party Margaret. I think this was our best Christmas Eve ever. Since living up the bush it had a whole different atmosphere, much less formal. All the kids came and stayed over so we had a B & B of our own.
It was great to have them all sleeping under the same roof again on Christmas Eve. Very homely and cosy.
We all sat oot the back under the verandah listening to Christmas music and drinking champagne. My brother loves to do a TURN and tells jokes endlessly. We came inside to eat and them retuned to our possies and sat and chatted the rest of the night away. It was such a good night too weather wise so we were able to stay out till quite late.
Next morning they awoke to the kookaburras and the rooster up the road which is something they never hear in the city. All in all we had a wonderful night.
