Marvellous photie Ani. It's great to see that in the days of computers, Playstations and other digital wizardry the fascination of bubbles is still there.

By the way, I spent years studying the science of bubbles and foam as part of my job. There are times when foam is desirable, as in shampoo, shaving foam, bubble bath, fire extinguishers and bread (yes, bread is a type of foam) and others when it needs to be controlled, such as fermentation (to make alcohol for fuel), laundry detergent, paint, carpet cleaning machines and crude oil production. I went to a conference in Paris that was attended by physicists who spent their working lives studying bubbles and foam. At the conference dinner the after-dinner speakers told obscure jokes about bubbles that were only funny to foam-obsessed weirdos (like me, although I'm a chemist, not a physicist).

I'm working with one of my fellow ex-students from the MSc course on a workshop on the science of foam for primary schools. Great fun!

BB
