Subject: Leader Dog Kelsey

Is going to live in Chile. I met her blind person this past Saturday at the school. Woman in her mid 50's, has one daughter and a husband and lives in a small town in Chile. Lives near the ocean plus every weekend she goes camping with her famjily to a lake. I am pleased about this since Kelsey was raised on a lake and loves to swim. Woman also has her own pet dog so dogs will be good company for each other.

Kelsey was very pleased to see me again but is definitely bonded to this woman. A great match.

She(Flor) went blind 20 years ago from an extremely rare condition where she was 8 months pregnant. Lost the baby and the miscarriage affected her optic nerve and she lost her eyesight at the same time. How awful that must have been. Meeting the blind people helps the raiser to feel better about returning the dog and that we are making a positive impact on someone's life.

So far I have raised 14. 13 successfully, five are in foreign countries. Am feeling a little sad but happy and proud of all my "girls."
