i agree with you, "aha right." jordan's pidgin english accent sounds far from standard american. american idol is just a stepping stone towards becoming an idolized american recording artist. accent shouldn't be a major criterion in selecting the winner as celine and enrique, mentioned by "Ilocano Pride" below, also became famous recording artists in america despite their weird pronunciation and enunciation. be logical!
