Viewership is down quite a bit this year.

No Wonder when Archer always has to be the hero.

Unlike past Captains on other Star Trek shows, he doesn't take advice very often when it runs contrary to his point of view.

The other shows always had a strong bond between the Captain and his senior staff.

Archer doesn't have that. He's distance himself from them except when needed.

He doesn't trust others to do their jobs.

He's been told by Daniels many times that he's important to the future of Star Fleet.

He would rather die than put someone else in the position to die.

He keeps putting his values above everyone elses.

That's not the Star Trek way.

It's unfortunate too, because this show has a good cast that has been under utilized because Scott Bakula needs to hog most of the screen time like he did on Quantium Leap.

The possible developement of the Characters and their interactions has been stymie because of it.

Trip and Archer's friendship has dissolved.

Trip and T'Pol relationship developement, one of the good strong showing of the show has dissipated because TV producers fear close enduring intimate relationships.
